Abstract

In 2019, the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies (WFNS) established an ad hoc Global Neurosurgery Committee (GNC) to coordinate its global efforts to promote equitable neurosurgical care. Medical students have been essential to the GNC since its first generation (“GNC 1.0”). We describe the integration of medical students in GNC 1.0 and provide suggestions on the incorporation of medical students into the second-generation GNC (“GNC 2.0”).
